We are very pleased to welcome you all to our new homepage. As you can see, it has been drastically overhauled to bring you new content and new features, and to more powerfully communicate the SCCJ’s message online. For a detailed overview of what’s new, please click here.
The SCCJ’s fundamental task is to promote commerce between Japan and Sweden. Although business between the two countries has increased steadily over the years, the untapped opportunities are still vast. Here, the SCCJ has an important role to play. As a non-profit organization, I believe that we complement the functions of the Swedish Trade Council and Invest Sweden by providing a framework for networking opportunities and informal exchange of knowledge and experience, and by being a valuable community for support, inspiration and enjoyment for all of our members.
We encourage participation in all activities, social as well as business-related, including our participation as a member of EBC (European Business Council in Japan). We also work in close cooperation with the Swedish Embassy and the related offices in various ways, thereby promoting the Swedish brand in business and cultural contexts.
In line with out motto, “by the members, for the members,” we take pride in being accessible to our members. Accordingly, the SCCJ office at the Swedish Embassy premises is easily accessible and useful to our members as a convenient gathering space. Similarly, we hope that you will find the new SCCJ homepage a valuable venue for interaction and communication.
Last but certainly not least: If you, dear member, have ideas for content or features that you think would be interesting to the SCCJ’s members, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
